So it seems our lovely city has decided to skip Autumn and skip straight to the colder months, but fear not, we haven't forgotten our seasons — you can come and warm up to the Monash Philharmonic Society's 2013 Autumn Concert! With warm brass from the Monash Symphonic Winds, tepid timpani from the Monash Philharmonic Orchestra, and sizzling jazz from the Monash Jazz Orchestra, our Past-to-Present themed concert will promise to heat your bones!

We will be returning to one of our favourite venues, Balwyn High School, on the 25^th May; we'll be starting our sets at 7pm sharp. Make sure you leave time to park, grab a ticket, and seat yourselves by then!

The Monash University Philharmonic Society (MUPS) presents the annual Summer Concert, this year with a children's theme! Bring your young children, cousins, friends, cousins' friends and complete strangers if you'd like. Along with our three main ensembles—MPO, MSW AND MoJO—the Celtic Band will be playing before the concert opening and during the interval! Here are the details again:

Where and When

The concert will be held on Saturday the 8th of December, at 3pm; you should make your way to Wellington Secondary College (map below!) at an adequate time to have parked, grabbed a ticket, and seated yourself by then!

20^th Century Classics

In our second season of the year, the Phil has been practicing a load of wonderful, modern material for your listening pleasure. With (among other things!) MPO playing Sibelius' Finlandia, MSW performing Vaughan Williams' Folk Song Suite, and MoJO showing off with Glenn Miller's classic In The Mood, it's bound to be a memorable, musical night.

The concert will be held at Balwyn High (map below!), with the doors opening at 6:30pm—the music will then start in half an hour's time.
